To do: Watch a video and learn a new dance. Or, put on some family favorites and boogie
Time: 30 minutes
Materials: Good dance music
__
Dancing is great exercise and somehow has the ability to lift anyone out of a funk. On cold winter nights, fire up the speakers and pick some music that you enjoy dancing to.
Next, try learning a new dance. Do an internet search for simple steps to the salsa, mambo, fox trot, or waltz. Leave any reservations at the door. After all, this is your family and your children won’t judge you for trying out something new together!
This is also a great activity to learn about other cultures. If your child has a special interest in a country or culture, practice a dance to learn more about local customs!
