To do: Play games like hopscotch or three-legged race.
Time: 30 minutes
Materials: See suggestions below.
First, do some fun stretches and challenge your child to touch their toes. Stretch up high to the sky too! Next, play some of these games that require fleetness of foot:
- Hold a three legged race! Invite friends and family over and create the fairest teams you can manage, and have a race in the backyard. Younger children can simply hold hands.
- Try a potato-sack race. Just make sure you’re playing on soft grass in case you take a tumble.
- A classic foot-friendly game is hopscotch. Use chalk to make your own!
- Lastly, work on your jump-roping skills.
Finish the day off with foot rubs all around.
