To do: Use a soft ball and an open area in your house to play Hot Potato, either standing or sitting on the floor
Time: 15 minutes
Materials: Soft ball and open floor space
__
Hot Potato simply means pretending that a ball is too hot to handle, and you need to pass it to the next person as quickly as possible!
This is a fun indoor game that only requires a soft ball, but will help your child hone reflexes and hand-eye coordination.
For young children, try sitting with wide legs on the floor, fairly near to one another. Roll the ball back and forth, only keeping it in your hands for a few seconds!
For older children, try a small hack-y-sac or soft ball that requires a bit more skill to keep in the air. Take this activity outside when the weather is nice.
